A surveying level arrived today, and I tried taking some measurements. It measures heights, angles and distances. We will measure more once the bedrock is exposed, but the measurements we took with a water level in 2013 seem reasonably accurate.

Digging starts on Monday. The soil will be stripped off the bedrock so we can see whether anything needs blasting. Exciting!
