The garage and setting out – Sundby Naturhus

A lot is happening at once!

Architect Fredrik is working with Aivar at Palmatin to finish the house drawings, with the garage taking priority. Hopefully, we can order it soon and put it up during the winter. Finished laminated logs are handy: they can be assembled at any time of year.

Niklas, our structural designer and building-control coordinator, and Drivadan are finalising exactly what will be supplied for the greenhouse. Delivery and assembly will probably be in April.

Insurance for the construction and the finished house was a little tricky, but Folksam eventually sorted it out. It is even cheaper than the insurance for our terraced house, so we will be changing insurers.

Yesterday, we ordered foundation materials for the garage and service building from Tjälldén AB. It is wonderfully straightforward: send them the drawing, and they supply what is needed. Delivery is on Monday, after which the foundation work begins—L-shaped edge elements with a raised plinth, insulation and reinforcement.

The service-building site is completely excavated. We will tackle its foundation after the garage.

Work on the garage sub-base began today. Different grades of gravel are compacted to make a firm base. A 160 kg plate compactor is needed so the ground does not shift when it rains or when the garage goes up.

More gravel arriving. We need a few tonnes.

The municipality came out this afternoon to begin setting out the foundations. The garage is done; the rest will follow next week.

Nu händer mycket på en gång! Arkitekt Fredrik jobbar med Aivar på Palmatin för att göra färdigt husritningarna med prio på garaget. Förhoppningsvis kan vi beställa garaget snart och montera i vinter någon gång. Bra med färdiga laminatstockar som kan monteras när som helst på året. Konstruktör och KA Niklas och Drivadan fastställer exakt vad som ska levereras i växthusväg. Troligen blir leverans och montage i april. Försäkring för bygget och huset var lite knepigt att få till men Folksam fixade till slut utan problem. Dessutom billigare än vårt radhus så det blir byte av försäkringsbolag. Igår beställdes material till garage och teknikhusgrunden från Tjälldén AB, riktigt smidigt att bara skicka ritning så fixar de allt som behövs. Leverans på måndag och därefter tar grundarbetet fart. L-element block med förhöjd sockel, isolering och armering. Platsen för teknikhuset är nu helt urgrävd. Grunden för teknikhuset fixar vi efter garagegrunden.

Idag har undergrund till garaget påbörjats. Grus i olika fraktioner paddas för en fast grund. Padda på 160 kg behövs för att få en fast grund som inte ger sig iväg när det regnar eller garaget kommer upp.

Leverans av mer grus, det går åt några ton.

Kommunen kom ut på eftermiddagen och påbörjade utstakning inför grundsättningen. Garaget fixat idag, resten blir nästa vecka.
